Vitamin K
Vitamin K, is produced in the intestines of our body.
It is a fat-soluble vitamin that assists the absorption of calcium from food.
It also helps in forming and maintaining healthy bones and probably its most important role is the control of blood clotting preventing massive blood loss during serious injury.
Deficiencies:
Deficiency can result in excessive bleeding of wounds.
In adults, deficiency is very rare, unless the intestines are damaged and unable to absorb the nutrients effeciently.
