I personally think we need to take the word diet out of the English language.

Why?

 Because it is one of few words that can single handedly make someone
 
  • Cringe,
  • Feel guilty and
  • Hopeless... all at the same time. 

Much like the word budget (we will have to save that one for another website!)


How does this happen you say?

You wake up in the morning and decide...Today is the day.  Today is the day I am going to get healthy and stay healthy.  It will be different this time you say to yourself. I'm stronger, more knowledgeable, more determined. You do this because you know good health is important to your overall well being.

You are dying to know how to:

  1. Fell better..everyday!
  2. Have more energy
  3. Reduce feelings of guilt
  4. Make changes that last longer than 6 to 8 weeks. 
Sound familiar?

Suddenly you remember that this is the 4th time you have awaken with such resolve, yet here you sit...again. Committing to the same commitment. Isn't once supposed to be enough?

  • Drink lots of water to stay hydrated. Your body needs water to function properly and keep your system cleansed. Soda pop will not cut it!
  • Lower your fat intake- you've heard this for years.
  • Lower your carbohydrate intake- stop overloading your body with "stored energy" that you might not use right away!
