Rome was not built in a day and neither will your health and wellness be achieved overnight.  It is a process.  If you are looking for some quick solution...don't.  We all want it yesterday.  Believe me I know.  I am one of those people that will watch the pot thinking it will make the water boil faster! Or...keep opening the oven door thinking the cake will rise just because I am looking at it! 

When it came to my health goals I applied the same approach and wasted a lot of time, money, energy and frustration in the process.  Being patient, combined with the other things we will talk about will really help to get on track and stay on track.

SECRET 3. Set reasonable goals!

No one goes on a road trip with out a map and a very reliable vehicle (at least they shouldn't). When you set out on any adventure you should always set the goal of what you want to achieve and map out a plan to get there.  When you don't, trouble has a way of inviting itself along. Remember...Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance! (Say that three times...fast).

SECRET 4. Accept that it is not easy!

Just do it, just accept it.  Life is not easy...period.  The journey to wellness is not easy.  But it sure is worth it!  Accept this fact and move on.  When you are able to do this you will really be able to focus on long lasting and sometimes alternative remedies  to  help you reach your destination.

SECRET 5. Be mindful and aware!

It is possible that you will have to focus constantly on your goals...at all times. You may even have to use a calorie counter to make sure you are within a healthy weight range. If that is what it takes...Do it. Be sure not to get off track too often.  And if you do -at least be aware of it and make the necessary changes to get "back- in- line".  If you do this you will significantly reduce your feelings of guilt and regret.  You want to avoid waking up one day saying..."How did I get so far off?"
